See more →Clearance is the part of the job where somebody else carries it. You do not bag it up, you do not sort it, and you do not get it down the stairs. We turn up, load it, sweep up, and leave you the paperwork proving where it went.
The pages above are the same service pointed at different jobs, because a probate clearance and a shop fit-out strip are not really the same afternoon even though the van is identical.
What it costs
Volume and access, essentially. How much there is, and how far it has to be carried to get to a vehicle. A three-bed with a driveway and a first-floor flat with a shared stair and no parking are different prices with the same furniture in them.
Two things reliably bring the number down:
- Metal comes off the price. Radiators, appliances, bed frames, tools, an old boiler, copper out of a stripped bathroom. Its scrap value is set against what you owe rather than pocketed quietly at your expense. On a metal-heavy job that is a substantial difference, and occasionally it goes the other way and we pay you.
- Anything genuinely saleable is worth more to you than to us. If we spot it, we will say so and tell you to sell it yourself.
There is no from-price on this site, deliberately. A from-price is a number chosen because it is the smallest one that is technically true, and everybody who quotes one knows what it is for.
What we will not take
Asbestos. LPG, propane and acetylene cylinders. Drums of chemicals or oil. Those need somebody with a different licence and different kit, and anybody telling you otherwise is telling you what you want to hear.
Part-used paint and fuel need a separate route — not a problem, but flag it when you ask rather than on the day. Everything else, ask: the list of things we take is far longer than the list we do not.
The paperwork, and why it is your business
Every load comes with a waste transfer note. That is not us being thorough — it is the document that decides who is liable if your waste is later found in a lay-by.
A householder has a legal duty to check that whoever takes their waste is registered to have it, and the penalty for not checking runs to £600 even when somebody else did the dumping. Ask us for our registration number and you will get it, so you can check us in about a minute. Bags, if a full clearance is more than you need
If the waste is going to appear gradually rather than all at once, tonne and hippo bags are usually the cheaper answer — no hire clock, and they sit on the drive instead of the road.

How much there is
The biggest single factor, and the one the photo answers on its own. We price by what it takes to shift — part of a van, a full van, one tipper load, three.

What’s in it
Some things carry a disposal charge by law — fridges, mattresses, tyres, plasterboard, paint. Others go the other way: if there’s real metal in the load, that value comes off your price.

How hard it is to reach
Kerbside and a wide drive is quick. Up two flights, through a narrow side gate, or forty yards down a wet garden is not. We’re charging for the time, not punishing you for the stairs.

Where you are
Wymondham and Hethersett are on the doorstep. Beccles is a run. It’s rarely the deciding factor, but it’s honest to say it counts for something.
Why there’s no “from £80” on this page
Because a from-price is a number chosen to get you on the phone, not a number anyone intends to charge. You ring, it turns out your job isn’t the one job in a hundred that qualifies, and the real figure lands once someone is already stood on your drive.
We’d rather you got the actual number for your actual load, in writing, before anyone turns up — and that you were free to ignore it. The price we send is the price you pay, unless you add to the pile, in which case tell us and we’ll re-quote.
Skip or us
A skip is a box you fill yourself.
Sometimes a skip genuinely is the right answer — a long refurb, a job where waste appears over weeks. For a one-off clear-out, it’s usually the more expensive way to do your own lifting.

Straight answers
Do I have to be there while you clear it?
For most outdoor, garage and shed jobs, no. If we can get to it and the price is agreed, we can come while you are at work. A full house clearance is different — somebody usually wants to be there for at least the start of it.
Will you take a single item?
Yes. One sofa, one fridge, one mattress. It is priced as a small job rather than pro-rata off a full load, but it is a job we do every week and you will not be told to wait until you have more.
What will you not take?

What areas do you cover?

Is it all done legally?
Yes. We are an upper-tier registered waste carrier and a licensed scrap metal dealer with both councils, and every load comes with a waste transfer note. Ask for our registration number when you ring and we will give it to you, so you can check it against our name on the public register.
